Our Berry Picking Weekend

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend and is ready for the week ahead! After a week full of sunshine, we decided to head to Millets Farm Centre and pick berries…in the rain. Maybe not quite the rain, but we traded our shorts for jeans and headed to Oxford for a beautiful afternoon of family fun. As many of you are aware, from our Instagram account, we have been gradually reintroducing ourselves to the outside world. On Saturday we travelled to pick raspberries and strawberries to fill our fridge with an embarrassing amount of fruit.

We succeeded! The staff at Millets Farm Centre were amazing! To enjoy the farm, you must book your tickets in advance for a specific picking time. Upon arrival, there are hand washing stations at the entrance and contactless payments for your picking buckets. You will then be directed to the specific berry locations, and given an entire aisle to yourself.

This is the ultimate way to socially distance with a pre-schooler! Once you’ve picked enough to fill your buckets, enjoy the most delicious ice cream on your way back to the parking lot. Do you have any outdoor activity suggestions for our next outing? Let us know in the comments below.
