Poppy's First Ballet Recital

Thank you, Rozelle School of Dance, for an amazing first recital!

This previous weekend we had the pleasure of watching our youngest make her stage debut. Marc and I were both nervous that:

1. Poppy would not make it on stage

2. Cry

or

3. Stand on stage and literally practice her death stare

However, she proved us both wrong, and commanded the stage with the other tiny ballerinas. Every mother knows toddlers never do what you want… but only what they want, and it was clear this is exactly what she wanted. The joy and pride she exuded during her three minute performance was just enough time to bring this mommie to tears. Well done, Popsy Daisy! Can you remember the first time you watched your child in a public performance? Not their perfectly timed public performance at your grocery store to ensure they are given the treat of choice, but a theatre performance? Dance recital? Or school program? How did it make your feel? Let me know!
